The colour spectrum, as a metaphor, symbolises revealed externals and concealed true colours of human beings.

The poet removed all make-up worn for pretending and gazed at her own bare face. Afterwards, she realised that puzzles over interpersonal relationships never originate in putting on but without concealing.
